There are some very sweet moments in this book, and I adored Bentley. However, I almost put the book away for good because of an ongoing "diminished learning capacity" joke. Dani, a female character with a crush on the main character, was awkward about it, and that could have been humorous in itself. There was no need to go beyond that.
